Hello, my name is Tom and I set up New Horizon Counselling in 2018. I'm a BACP registered therapist, supervisor and tutor with over 7 years of extensive therapeutic experience. I have provided over 5000 hours of clinical Counselling and Psychotherapy to adult clients.

I can offer a supportive, kind, non-judgemental space to help you explore whatever it is you are going through. You might be feeling anxious, depressed or stressed, going through life changes, struggling with relationships, self-worth, looking to explore yourself, your identity or even understand and change behaviours. Additionally, I specialise in working with the LGBTQIA+ community an area I am incredibly passionate about.

I am an encouraging therapist who also aims to challenge you. My ultimate goal is to work hard to help you work hard. I won't offer advice, but I will offer thoughts, ideas, and exercises to get you thinking not only in the sessions but between them too. I am here to support you as you work towards your therapeutic goals.

My Therapeutic Approach: The aim of therapy is to provide you, the client, with a confidential space to explore personal issues in a safe environment. My role is to support you through your journey without judgement. My style of therapy integrates several theories and techniques, primarily Psychodynamic and Person Centred therapy. I can also incorporate elements of Existential Psychotherapy
