Info and Booking
Freud’s ground-breaking view of the dreaming mind continues to captivate readers. This session will introduce Freud’s theory of dreams and method for their interpretation, revealing his broader perspective on the workings of the human unconscious.
Using plenty of examples, we will unpack Freud’s central claims, such as that every dream contains a disguised fulfilment of a repressed wish. We will also explore some contemporary engagements with Freud’s theory of dreams – from art to neuroscience.

Please note: We will include examples of dreams to illustrate key concepts and hope they will be useful and inspiring. However, the session is not a dream-interpretation workshop, and participants will not be invited to share or discuss their own dreams.

What’s included:

About your host:
Hi, I'm your host Tom, a psychotherapist, supervisor, tutor and writer living in Wiltshire.

I have set up my private practice New Horizon Counselling back in 2018. I am passionate about therapists connecting in what can feel like a disconnected profession. I've facilitated many CPD events for therapists including a Therapist CPD and networking trip to Vienna in 2024 and 2025 and a previous trip to the Freud Museum in London in 2025.

If you have any questions about this networking and CPD event please reach out.
